Planning Branch is doing controlling , supervision & co-ordination of all 6 districts of the Kokan Region.

Duties & Functions Of Planning Branch

To arrange the meeting of Planning Department advised by Divisional Commissioner and forward the Progressive Report to concerned Officers for information and if action is taken on the points raised in the meeting.
To get the monthly/quarterly report from District Planning committee from all 6 districts . Compile the same and submit to the Planning Department, Mantralaya.
To attend the District Planning Committee meeting and supervise the work done by District Planning Office & guide them if necessary .
To collect the expenditure reports of all schemes i.e.District Plans (General), District Plan (SCP), District Plan (TSS/OTSP), Programme of Member of Parliament (Both Loksabha & Rajyasabha), MLA fund (Both Assembly & council) work of Development Board, Dongri Vikas Karyakrame and if necessary reports of Backlog scheme, Western Ghat Development schemes, etc
Inspect the minimum 10 works in a month & submit the Reports to Planning Department, Mantralaya.
To perform the other works given by Commissioner and other higher authorities.
To carry on various evaluation surveys given by Planning Department . To collect the information from various district authorities, conduct the survey at district, tahsil and village / town level, compile it analyse it and submit the report to Planning Department and Director, Director of Economics & Statistics.
Monitor the various Regional Packages declared by Government. For this purpose collect the reports, compile it and submit in the meeting.
To give post facto sanction to MLA funds after analysis of report received from District Planning Office.
