The jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Konkan division extends over five districts including Greater Bombay. The Commissioner exercises general control over the administration in all matters. He is invested with wide powers and functions embodied in different acts, codes, manuals, government circulars, etc. He gives co-ordination visits to the offices with particular reference to planning and development.
